Privacy Policy for Football IQ

Football IQ ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Football IQ mobile application on iOS and Android, and when you visit footballiq.app.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, password, and optional display name, playing position, and strong foot.
• Support Messages: If you email us, we receive the content of that message and your email address.

1.2 Training and App Data

• Progress: Completed flashcards, quiz scores, streaks, training logs, and related skill analytics, stored on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to our backend (Supabase).
• Subscription Status: Whether you have an active premium entitlement, provided by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment card number.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version used for functionality, diagnostics, and fraud prevention.

1.3 Optional Notifications

If you allow notifications, we may send reminders to complete daily training or protect a streak. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Football IQ app, including sign-in, saved progress, and premium access
• To process and restore in-app subscriptions
• To personalize training recommendations
• To provide customer support
• To maintain security and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal information. Football IQ does not show advertisements and does not use advertising SDKs.

3. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Authentication, account records, and synced progress. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: Subscription entitlements and purchase restoration. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store: iOS billing, subscription management, and refunds.
• Google Play: Android billing, subscription management, and refunds.
• Vercel Web Analytics: Page-view counts for footballiq.app. An App Store badge tap, a Google Play badge tap, a tap on the QR image, or a camera scan of that code first opens a footballiq.app/go page so the visit can be counted, then continues to the App Store or Google Play. This records the page, a general location, and the device type. It does not use advertising cookies and it does not identify you. See Vercel’s analytics privacy policy.
• YouTube: The homepage plays short Football IQ videos from YouTube. The player loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. YouTube receives the fact that the page was opened. See Google’s privacy policy.

4. Children's Privacy

Football IQ is intended for users aged 11 and older. Under 12 is the youngest academy group. A player aged 11 through the age of majority needs a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 11. If you believe a child under 11 has created an account, contact us at privacy@footballiq.app and we will delete that account. Football IQ is not a children's app, is not in the Apple Kids category, and is not in Google Play's Designed for Families program.

5. Your Rights, Including Account Deletion

• Access and correction: You can view and update profile details in the app.
• In-app deletion: Signed-in users can delete their account from Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes the account and associated progress we store.
• Email request: You can also email privacy@footballiq.app. We process deletion requests within 7 business days.

Deleting your Football IQ account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel billing in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings first.

6. Data Retention

We keep account and progress data while your account is active. After deletion, we remove personal data except records we must keep for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons (for example limited purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat).

7. Subscriptions and Billing

Premium is an auto-renewable in-app subscription. A club can also buy one year for one academy age group. That academy purchase does not auto-renew. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. Prices are shown in the app using the store’s localized price. In the US, one academy age group for a year is $409.99. Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google, not by Football IQ.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using Football IQ you understand that this processing is necessary to provide the service.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
